Camilla is one of those paintings that if you didn't know was turning point for me and painting in watercolor. It took me a long time to finish this piece and all the while I was beginning to understand the delicate balance between water and color. Its not so much the detail in the flowers as it was the details in the background and leaves. They are the true painting the flowers are just an impression to give the painting substance. it was another one of those learning moments for me as an artist and that is what makes this painting important.
