Charlie Chaplin (9x12)
When I was younger my brother and I used to stay up late on Saturday nights and watch PBS. They often showed the silent greats and no one made us laugh more than Charlie Chaplin. It was his pure slapstick physical comedy and while there have been many copy cats none will ever outperform the master performer. Without words, he could take you from caring to down right side busting laughter. We had no idea we were watching a comic genius all we knew is he was hysterically funny. This silhouetted image has no face and very little in the way of detail. The hands on the hip, the bent and knotted can, the hat, the baggy pants or the shoes are a dead giveaway as to who this is. What an affordable piece of artwork to own as an investment or a memory of a wonderful artist.
